Extension & building permit drawings - Lund
In the vibrant city of Lund, I had the opportunity to design an extension for a family of four – two parents and their teenage children. The project involved transforming an existing pergola into a bright and inviting room where the family can enjoy panoramic views all year round. This new space not only improves the influx of natural light into the apartment, but also provides increased privacy from the neighboring building.
In addition to the extension, I restructured the interior layout by merging three smaller rooms into two more spacious bedrooms, better suited to the children's growing needs.
As the project involved an extension, the material palette was carefully chosen to harmonize with the original residential building and ensure a unified aesthetic. At the same time, necessary adjustments were made to create a more modern expression that suits that part of the city. The design also prioritized durability and ease of maintenance.
As part of the project, I produced detailed building permit drawings to facilitate the approval process for the new design changes.
